To our little girl on her first birthday - 365 days. It’s been a year since you were born. Since you entered this world screaming and full of life. You’ve taught us so much over the past year - patience, resilience, strength… a new depth of love only a child could teach. But most importantly, you taught us how to be a family.
In 365 days you’ve learnt to smile, giggle, roll over, sit up, crawl, stand and walk. You’ve learnt to clap, dance, blow raspberries, talk, and wave. Your personality has beamed from day one. You’re cheeky, kind, and “The most social and happiest girl on earth” many would say.
You are the perfect mixture of us both. Your dads eye shape with your mums eye colour, dads honey skin and mums soft curls, your dads talkative and social tendencies and your mums comfort in closeness and cuddles.
From the moment your dad and I started dating, we dreamt, wished, and hoped for a little girl just like you. “Our Gigi” we would say. You were always Gigi. We’ve felt your presence every day of our lives. We would choose you every day, in every moment, in every lifetime. Thank you for choosing us.
You deserve the world baby girl.
