We’re living through the biggest shift in how we work, think, and connect — and yet most young people leave school without the skills to navigate it. 🌏
💼 The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025 identifies creative thinking, analytical thinking, and empathy as the most crucial skills for the workforce of tomorrow.
🧠 And 72% of teachers already feel that students’ critical thinking skills need urgent improvement.
So we’re co-designing a new unit. It’s accredited with the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership (@scqfpartnership ) -in partnership with @nomadalba and @edinburghcollege . Teaching integral human skills in schools - launch date TBC!

Our founder Bianca Peel got together with Edinburgh College's David Hiddleston and Code Division's frank duffy to unpack this proposition:
Human skills development and critical AI literacy are constitutive for digital-native learners. Each is materially weakened without the other. The most effective way to build either is to build them together.
In simple terms, the new Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership (SCQF Partnership) Accredited unit recognises these skills as being the sum of their parts (Fibonacci nodd).

We’ve brought our latest programme to life through the voices that matter most 💬
As part of Women & Future Skills #Dundee, we captured powerful testimonials from participants sharing their journeys, growth, and impact.
This programme, funded by the UK Government, was designed to support women in developing future-ready data skills—while building confidence, community, and career direction.
Hearing firsthand how the experience has helped individuals step outside their comfort zones, explore opportunities in data, and feel more confident in their career paths is exactly why we do what we do.
We’re incredibly proud of what’s been built in Dundee with our partners @codedivision.uk & @nomadalba —and even more excited about what’s next.

As we look ahead, continuing initiatives like this—especially within Scotland—is so important to ensure local talent is supported, developed, and given access to meaningful opportunities in data & AI.

Beyond excited to be co-designing another Scotland FIRST: an Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership (SCQF Partnership) Accredited "Human Skills & AI" unit with @Edinburgh College's David Hiddleston and Code Division's frank duffy. Bring #HumanSkills to the forefront of AI learning. Inner Development Goals aligned.
It's something innovative and it's coming. 👀
❌Not what you'd expect.
❌Not what you've seen before.
✨Built for the generation who've grown up inside the algorithm and all who came before, and the educators who want to meet them properly.

Being shortlisted for a ScotlandIS Tech for Good Award is thanks to all our learners, mentors, partners, tutors, funders, and our wider network community.
Over the past two years, Code Division—working with @nomadalba and @thedatagals —has delivered more than digital courses. Using design thinking, we’ve built learning with people, responding to real lives, changing labour markets, and wellbeing needs.
With the support of Tay Cities, Data Skills for Work, and Dundee City Council, we focused on people excluded from traditional tech pathways. We prioritised employability, confidence, resilience, and mental wellbeing alongside technical skills.
Together, we’ve created inclusive digital, data, coding and marketing pathways grounded in accredited learning, mentorship, and community.
