This was my screen's background when I went to close my PC just now. I can't say how fitting this is for where we are. The Washington Monument--a symbol of fights for social justice thanks to a number of protests that gathered there--is de-centered and tiny compared to the giant pillars in the foreground. There may be golden light somewhere but it's not reaching us, positioned in the shadow of the pillars. And of course there's the exclusion of the main feature of the monument we're positioned within....Ol' Abe himself. I think my PC has been listening to my conversations.....
Late but not forgotten! I'm delighted to share Kent Bye's interview with me about Coded Black at IDFA. Winning Special Mention at the festival was a dream come true, and this conversation is a wonderful conclusion to the experience.....

In Basel for @buchbasel with @johnymodern and the game I co-wrote with @westermaisha , @codedblack2025 was selected for competition at the @idfafestival . The game, built by the phenomenal @human___studio is a point of connection, between narrative and history, visual essay and a modern mourning, tech meets story. We look into the gaps.
