Codec 992 returns with a straight four tracker by their resident Frankie Bromley on their sixth release called „Awakening“. „Conscious“ being the opening track, brings a house cut defined by a deep rhythmic bass and floating pads to carry the track through, together with pronounced detailed drums giving the track an elegant edge. The EP also consists of a remix by Radio Slave, who is world renowned for his productions & DJ sets. Matt’s remix of Frankie’s „Conscious“ brings a soundscape of a deep rhythmic broken beat masterpiece. „Awakening“ is a true representation of Frankie’s sound, that includes a dark shade of techno with highly detailed 808s, mysterious synths, intense stabbing drums and to compliment that with powerful sounds that pull you into a dark hypnotic trip with distorted dark vocals pronouncing „awaken“ and „breathe“. „Breathe“, the final track on this fierce EP, encompasses heavy hitting bass drums and groove inspired hi-hats & synths. The track accentuates a whole new atmosphere with driving elements and striking sounds, bringing a mixture of emotions and physicalness to round off the EP. Codec 992 returns with a straight four tracker on their fifth release called „Decoded Identity“. Ike Dusk transform Peryl’s ambient track „Aura“ into a moody, rumbling techno cut aimed at a large dancefloor while Matrixxman strips Ike Dusk’s „Decoded Identity“ of its reverb-drenched kicks and replaces them with classic, clean techno drums and percussions. Illnurse take on Buried Secrets „Take Control“, the gnarly synth line of the original is being pitched around and edited with the percussion adding a hint of ebm. Lastly Stanislav Tolkachev twists MIJkE’s acid-driven „Taimuran“ into an almost unrecognizable loop of raw percussion, noise, and an extremely reduced synth line. Codec 992 returns with a straight 4 tracker by MIJkE on their fourth release „Tokei Shikake“ built to last. MIJkE kicks off „Tokei Shikake“ with the EP’s title track, a moody stomper drenched in reverb that surprises with a fresh sounding acid line halfway through, evoking memories of the last minutes of an intense warehouse rave. The rest of the tracks keep expanding on these themes: „Taimuran“ is a stripped back bigroom bomb, while „Rasshu“ ups the energy further with its gnarly, overdriven acid sounds, brutal kicks and menacing pads. For the EP’s conclusion, Kaiser remixes „Taimuran“ and twists it into a loopy, spaced out acid-techno cut, bringing back the energy of classic 90’s techno classics. After setting the tone with two initial releases by Peryl & Ike Dusk, Codec 992 returns with a straight five tracker by Buried Secrets on their third release called „Abandoned In Destiny“. Under a different alias, the artist behind Buried Secrets should already be a familiar figure to many techno fans. For the Buried Secrets project, he made the conscious decision to keep things anonymous and let the music speak for itself – And with the likes of Dax J among early supporters, it seems his music speaks very clearly. On „Abandoned in Destiny“, Buried Secrets unearths previously dismissed musical influences, drawing inspiration from the tough sounds of techstep drum & bass. The five track EP relentlessly pushes forward at a fast pace, from the highly energetic, ravy opener „Stormcloaks“, through the equally fast paced bangers „Take Control“ and the titular „Abandoned in Destiny“, to the intricate drumming and trance-esque breaks of „Ballad Of Fallen Angels“ – Over the course of its first four tracks, Abandoned in Destiny sounds like a well-balanced, strobe fuelled, peak time techno set. To round things off, Henning Baer contributes his remix of „Take Control“ as the fifth and final track. Baer skilfully turns the original into a broken, decidedly slower electro cut, playfully defying the listeners expectations. Mastering by JoeFarr Artwork by Inextremiss Photography

Codec 992 returns with a straight 4 tracker by Ike Dusk on their second release called „Coded Structures“ built to last. „Evolve“, a dark and shattering techno track pierced by a melodic pad, opens the EP. „Decoded Identity“ follows up with its rolling bass, floating synths and futuristic stabs that get carried by a pummeling kickdrum. „Desolated“ is a thundering primetime tool with acidic synth stabs and grainy percussions in best 90’s techno manner. Last but not least US techno wizard Matrixxman turned the knobs on remix duties for „Decoded Identity“. He delivered a stripped back, deep weapon garnished with delicate, sublime synthstabs that will leave the floor begging for more. Mastering by JoeFarr Artwork by Old Archives

Codec 992 is proud to present the first release by german artist Peryl. This five tracker comes with four outstanding originals and a stomping EBM inspired remix by Inhalt der Nacht. Opener „Aura" symbolizes a dark and deep melancholic, unmistakable emotion, which hands you out free goosebumps from the the very beginning. With an extraordinary industrial but modern touch, the other tracks of the EP obtain the certain something. This, with an innovative production also, is giving industrial techno an entirely new look. „Still Mine“ that is remixed by Inhalt der Nacht, completes the package with a massive dark and nearly evil banger which will make you dance immediately. There is no doubt, that this version of „Still Mine“ is fascinating and magical at the same time. Mastering by ALHEK Mastering Artwork by Psyche Anamnesis
