Here, there were sharing a work-in-progress with a wider audience, both indoors and outdoors. The students are now in full swing to further develop their graduation creations. The Yellow House Big Jam is an open space for Codarts Students to explore interaction between circus, dance, music and music theatre. It's open to all Codarts student! The piece examines how creation emerges from crisis, while colours and forms act as statements rather than decorations. Through collective structures and moments of playful disruption, the piece traces cycles of destruction and care. It asks not what the future will be - but how we choose to shape it. ☰ JARNO’S ROAD TO THE WORLD STAGE ☰ Circus artist Jarno Polhuijs was recently featured in Dutch newspaper AD, sharing his journey from discovering circus as a teenager to performing on stages around the world. Early on, Codarts Circus Arts invited him to join the Talentenklas, a programme where young talents prepare for the professional circus programme. After this trajectory, Jarno continued his studies in the Codarts Circus Arts programme in Rotterdam, where he further developed his artistic practice. Today he travels internationally with his teeterboard act, performing in major productions and arenas worldwide. His work even earned silver at the prestigious Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, one of the highest honours in the circus world. #CodartsCircusArts #CodartsRotterdam #PerformingArts

What do superheroes truly mean to us? How do we inhabit the idea of being super? Super what, with whom, how many at once? In this piece, the lone, wandering hero gives way to a collective hero—decidedly human. ------- Directed by Nicanor de Elia, Dogs Never Melt is a circus creation, and part of the graduation for the bachelor's program in Codarts Circus Arts. Collaboration in circus is an essential skill we want our students to have - even as a soloist. The C2 Duet is an assignment where two (or more) students of different specialisations collaborate to create something new.
