Model Commuters was a campaign for PTV, transforming everyday commuters into model plastic figures, a playful take on behaviour and manners on public transport.

On the process, Hayley said:
“I actually stiffened the denim of the jeans with PVA, basically a craft glue you use in school. I created the creases by hand and set them with a hairdryer. I then made my own mixture of silver and blue metallic pigments to pick up the tops and shine of the creases I’d sculpted by hand, giving the denim a plastic, doll like quality. To finish, I glossed the hardened denim with Vaseline to create a plastic surface.”
