Final version for Porgy and Bess sets . I liked equally the previous versions, but wasn't fully satisfied with either. In the final one I took elements I liked in both. I imagined the orchestre being above, setting the mood. In the three designs the music was a central element in the process as I didn't wanted the musicians to be hide but to be visible. I tried to put as much textures and details as I could but I think I could do better if I trained more on how to use sketchup.

Costumes for Porgy and Bess, Part 2 I really enjoyed drawing costumes for male characters which I rarely do. This project had tons of characters which made it really interesting to do

Costumes for Porgy and Bess Part 1. The costume desins aren't really accurate and if I had to do it again there is a lot of them I wouldn't keep. I got confused with the fact that even if it was the Roaring Twenties, with short hair and shorter dresses, most of the people weren't wearing these. It was probably more an elite privilege. It is why the lengh of the dresses aren't good on those designs

Final design of the sets, Porgy and Bess Opera I needed to feel the texture of it and to be honest, I am not good enough with computers to have this kind of results. Also I work better with paper and paint and I feel that I wouldn't have found the same aspect of colours and textures with sketchup

Second idea for Porgy and Bess Opera I saw a 1920's picture of a Jazz band in a sort of alcove and I wanted to try to add this in the design. The arch really was the first element of the model and everything is built around . In Opera's the music is for me the most central element and I wanted to follow the same scheme for the sets.

First version of Porgy and Bess sets. I've never used sketchup before, so it really was an interesting first experience. I liked the asymetry and though of it in 2D . As I did the model I really needed to understand how the back would work, how the characters would move between the diferent spaces.

First model making ever. I never though I could do it but I am quite happy with the result . It could be better but I had a lot of fun doing all the details.
