On Thursday, May 28th from 5-6:15pm join our virtual 2026 Colorado Legislative Wrap-Up to discuss the outcomes of our priority bills and review our 2026 Legislative Wrap Report. Join us by registering, link in bio.

Today, members of our Advocacy Team were at the Sick of our System: a Rally Against Medical Debt hosted by @centerforhealthprogress . This legislative session, lawmakers killed HB26-1267 Limitations on Collection Actions for Medical Debt which would have increased transparency about what patients owe and why and set clear and fair standards for payment plans so Coloradans can focus on recovery, caring for their families, and contributing to their communities. Fear of medical debt should not keep people from seeking necessary medical care, nor leave them at risk of homelessness. We will continue to rally for more protections and transparency around medical debt!
Thank you to the Center for Health Progress for hosting the rally and to the bill sponsors who spoke at the event, @javiermabrey and @junie4colorado
Yesterday, May 5, we honored the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives. Native women face disproportionately high rates of violence, often tied to domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and systemic harms.
Staff at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless recognized this day to raise awareness and encourage learning and action. We invite you to take time to learn more, honor those lost, and support advocacy efforts for meaningful change at Tribal, state, and federal levels. Learn more at, /mmiwr-awareness
