Big news! 🥳 Coconutwork is officially a member of de Jugendrot (CGJL) — the National Youth Council of Luxembourg! 🎉
In case you are not familiar with them, Jugendrot is the official umbrella organization that unites youth groups from all over Luxembourg 🇱🇺 to act as a direct bridge to national institutions.
👉This was officially announced at the 2026 General Assembly of the Youth Council that we attended on April 24th in Luxembourg City! 🌟 It was an awesome opportunity to present our organization and spend an informative evening connecting with other member orgs.
What does this actually mean for us? It means we're teaming up with an incredible network of youth organizations across the country to make sure young voices are heard by decision-makers 👌
We're excited to see how this new collaboration will contribute to our mission ❤ of bringing exciting educational opportunities and advocating for matters important to the active participation and intercultural development of youth, all while making a much bigger impact. Let's get to work! 💪

April was a big month for the Unplugged project! 🔥
In mid-April, we hosted the Unplugged Transnational Project Meeting in Nice (France) ☀ to build on the feedback we received from our recent national pilot workshops. 📈
This was a big milestone for the project where we brought together our international partners from Romania, Croatia, Poland, and Turkey In three intensive days of co-creation and planning.
Here's what went down 👇
📌 We ealuated and compared the results from our national testing phases to see what worked and how to improve our approach.
📌 Ran tests on our educational board game prototype using real-life scenarios to tweak the design.
📌 Finalized the structure and plans for the upcoming Youth Worker Manual and Youth Workbook.
📌 Outlined the new project website, planned scripts for 8 educational videos, and set our communication strategy.
👉 Stay tuned, because there is much more to come! 🤩 We're rolling up our sleeves to produce the final prototypes and run multiplier trainings. 🚀

Led by Coconut Luxembourg 🇱🇺 in partnership with @ngo_checkin (Portugal) and Kamite APS (Italy), the project used design thinking to empower young people and youth organizations to address socio-economic challenges 💼, build entrepreneurial solutions, and develop skills in creativity, critical thinking, and autonomy. 🌟
The project kicked off in September 2024, and a lot has happened since then: a design thinking workshop in Portugal, a pilot phase across all three countries 🌍, multiplier events and the publication of the Design Thinking Toolbox that brings it all together.🔥

"I never felt like I was in a youth exchange. It felt like I was at home, talking with my brothers and sisters ❤" — Douae, one of our participants. And yeah that pretty much sums it up. 🤗
Lost in Marrakech has come to an end, and saying goodbye was the hardest part 🥹 What started with 20 strangers from Morocco 🇲🇦 and Finland 🇫🇮 became a family built around shared meals, group activities, and late night talks 🌙
Over a week in Marrakech, our participants explored culture through food 🍲 Markets, celebrations, street food, home meals, spices, techniques .. everything that sits behind what we eat and why we eat it ✨
A highlight was the creation of four original recipes blending Moroccan and Finnish food traditions: LihaShuka, Msemen-Pirraka, Lohi Sahara and Salmon tajine 👨🍳
But beyond the food, everyone left with a newfound openness to cultural differences and a deeper appreciation of them 🌍
