Our dearest Cobra Fam, Saturday, January 17th, will be our last day of full dinner service at Cobra. After six long, vibrant years, the Cobra story is coming to a close. This decision did not come easily. Cobra has been more than a restaurant and venue; it has been a special place for connection and celebration, a place to showcase creativity, whether behind the DJ booth, on the dance floor, or through your microphone in one of our karaoke rooms, and a place to share an unforgettable meal no matter what day of the week. We are grateful to each member of our community, to every single guest who walked through our doors and trusted us with their evenings and special occasions, and to those who supported our vision. Like so many in hospitality, local and global, we have faced ongoing economic challenges in an industry that has never really had the chance to recover. Most importantly, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to the irreplaceable humans behind the scenes who really made Cobra possible: the servers, hosts, management, chefs, bartenders, promoters, DJs, dancers, security, dishwashers, prep cooks, and purveyors. Your passion and support have meant everything to us. We invite you to join us before January 17th to celebrate Cobra one final time, whether it’s in our dining room, at the bar, or in a karaoke room. At this time, we will continue to have weekend nightlife events until further notice. While this chapter is coming to a close, the memories and people that have made Cobra the institution that it is will never be forgotten. Thank you for being a part of our story. The Cobra Team

Thank you endlessly to everyone that’s supported us since we announced our closure. We’re floored and we are looking forward to the last days of dinner and karaoke service today and tomorrow. Any available reservations can be made online. To clarify some questions, karaoke will also have its last day tomorrow (1/17) as well as full dinner service. My final performance at @cobrapgh was the full spectrum of emotions and everything I loved about that place all coming together for one last experience beautifully captured by @wuhshi.oda . From tears of happiness, laughter with friends, dance circles, hugs with loved ones, bumping butts, and everything in between. I could feel it all in the air and exuding from everyone in those walls. I will never forget that energy that night. Having @honjaoviolin play with me just made everything even better. A truly fitting end to a special place that meant so much to everyone at @longturnmusic and the dance music community in Pittsburgh. I thought maybe if I didn't post about it then it wouldn't feel real, but I spent some time processing and finally ready to say goodbye...      It hurt a lot at first, but now I feel overjoyed with what we accomplished there and ready for the next chapter despite not really knowing what that is. I'm just grateful we got to do what we did and the time we had together there. The smiles among friends, the incredible sets we heard on those Voids, and the memories we had there I will cherish til the day I die. I am so grateful for anyone that ever came to @cobranights to support us and our mission of bringing house & techno DJs from around the world to our hometown. Your constant messages or heartfelt thank yous at the events truly kept us going, but that's what made it so worth it in the end. To everyone at Cobra for believing in us and giving us the space to create magic there. To all the DJs, performers, artists, vendors, photographers, LDs, etc that ever helped make our events possible, I thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏     For now I will take this extra time off to figure out things in my own life, build a new business, figure out exciting new things for Longturn, work on my own music again, probably travel, and spend some time catching up with friends or supporting their events that I didn't have time to do before. Excited for whatever adventure the universe decides is next. Let's see where the wind takes me shall we? Photos from Saturday's Last Dance at @cobrapgh 🥹 That was the most insane energy we've ever felt throughout those walls. Emotions were high in all the best ways. We're still in shock honestly of how epic that party was, but we unfortunately have to say our goodbyes eventually 💔    Cobra was the first place we truly felt at home and will always have a special place in our heart. So many strangers walked through those doors and became friends. Friends became family. Some of the best artists in the world came through and shared their music and gifts with us on those Void speakers. We can't thank them and the staff enough for everything they've done for us, the community, and so many others around the city. Thanks to all the DJs who played for us there, @kamajam11 and all the performers, artists, vendors, etc. Those memories live on in all of us 🖤   It feels really strange not to list what we have coming up next at @cobranights , but the show must go on so we'll be testing out a few new places around the city and see what makes sense for us going forward. Closing weekend of @cobrapgh starts this Friday with Amsterdam's @mhighmusic making his Pittsburgh debut and our last headliner show ever there. M-High has been one of the fastest-rising names in house music - a multi-instrumentalist producer already stacking releases on PIV, Nervous, Hot Creations, Koltrax, Rossi's HOME//GRXWN, Josh Baker's You & me, and Factory 93, with bookings at Space Miami, Fabric London, Tomorrowland, Thuishaven, and Defected Croatia. As A&R for Amsterdam's PIV label, he's shaping the next generation of house music while his own sets blend unreleased cuts, gritty 90s grooves, and peak-time moments that hit different. This is the last ride before The Last Dance. Make it count. Getting the party groovin' are two special b2b performances from some regulars who have been a big part of bringing house and minimal to the Cobra space over the years. @burns_white is flying back from San Diego to join forces with @alex.jouin to get the night started. This Saturday!!! The Night Shift brings Anjunadeep & Recess Jams', @simondoty , back to Pittsburgh for the second time and his first appearance at @cobrapgh . The Canadian producer has been on a tear, leaving his breakthrough album 'Universal Language' behind to push deeper into groove-based club music through his own Recess imprint and the relentless Reup project. A self-taught gear whiz whose gritty textures and driving grooves have earned regular spins from Pete Tong and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 and co-signs from Hot Since 82 and Jamie Jones, he has been stacking marquee performances at Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks, Fabric London, and beyond. If you caught him the first time, you already know - this one is not to be missed.
