Coat Check’s latest Editorial installment highlights Denver’s own Alex Padgett — CEO and co-founder of 128 Productions. Known by many as “AP,” Alex has been a driving force in shaping Denver’s event landscape, bringing world-class artists across a spectrum of genres to the Mile-High City. His journey began while attending the University of Colorado Boulder, throwing grassroots events that laid the foundation for his career. Today, AP continues to push boundaries — from curating unforgettable nights to helping launch Regenerate Festival in Denver.

From his latest project @this.is.contact to his music education platform @studio.orbituk , we talked vision, community, and what’s ahead in 2025 and beyond.

Coat Check Presents Pop Up on Pearl 4.26.25
On January 15, 2023, we introduced Coat Check to the world.
What started as a group of best friends throwing parties just to play the music we loved has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.
Since then - 2 years, 3 months, and 13 days later, we’ve thrown 31 events, built a culture, and carved out a real home in Boulder.
This past Saturday was our final show here and it was everything we could have imagined. Bittersweet, but beautiful.
Thank you to everyone who has danced with us, believed in us, and helped build this thing from the ground up.
The foundation is set. Now we build even higher.
With love,
Coat Check
