Think of the mundane/routine things you engage in daily. If this was your last time doing them, how can you slow down to fully be in that moment and appreciate everything?😊 We remember more of our life when we’re fully in it; not thinking about the future or living in the past. How can you slow down this week? #thebigslowdown #mentalhealth

May 23, 10-11:30 am, National Arboretum in DC✨ I know there are other women who crave a slow down. And, I know there are women seeking quality connections, free from the distractions of eyeballs in phones instead of on each other. I hope you consider joining me for the inaugural “Off-Line Women’s Club” event in the park. Info in bio link⬆️ #1 rule— Cell phone free events🧘🏽‍♀️ I’m looking forward to seeing you, connecting in nature, free from distractions. #offlinewomensclub

Slowing down does not equate to losing momentum. Slowing down reflects intentionality and an aim for excellence✨ This I say to myself consistently. I must remind myself until I believe it to my core. What is a practice you honor that gives you permission to slow down?

May 23, 2026☀️ 10-11:30 am | National Arboretum in Washington DC. Link for tickets in my bio. The “Off-Line Women’s Club” will gather for the first time. This club is for women who crave intentional time to be untethered to their cell phone. These 90 minutes will be phone free. You may arrive with it, but the expectation is it will be tucked away the entire time we are together. If you are in the DMV area May 23 and want to gather with women craving time off-line, please consider joining. Thank you✨😃

One of my greatest life hacks is keeping my phone out of sight—when possible! The faster this world gets, the more inundated with technology and AI, my spirit craves slowing down and turning off. Taking intentional breaks from our cell phone looks different for everyone. I’d love to hear in the comments how you take a break from your technology!📲😊 #thebigslowdown #stressawarenessmonth

This world is set up to keep us overstimulated—and it’s working. The good news is, you have more control than you think. April is stress awareness month, and my plan is to sporadically share insights and tips on how to start slowing down more and more to actually appreciate all that you have done and are currently doing. Here’s a sneak peek👀 🏡 Slower living at home 💻 Healthier habits with the tech in our lives 🧠 Reclaiming true mental stillness Let’s get things started before April 1. Please share one area in life you would like to practice slowing down and why. And thank you🙏🏽 #healthtips #stressawarenessmonth #wellness

If I have the ability to help my students bring awareness to habits they want to change, why would I not do that as their professor?! Many of us carry shame and guilt for our procrastination habits— but when we understand why, we can slowly begin to undo what has become a part of who we are. Here are a few strategies you can try immediately: 1. The five minute rule: commit to working on a task for just five minutes, often the hardest part is starting. 2. The sacred study space: designate one specific spot that is reserved only for work. 3. Phone quarantine: put your phone in a separate room from where you are doing work, out of sight out of mind.(my personal fave that I swear by!) There are so many different strategies, I invite you to include yours in the comments👏🏽✨

One of my favorite parts of being a speaker is when I get to sit in the audience and be inspired by others. I eagerly anticipate the insight from fellow speakers, panelists, and by the questions people ask💕 I love hearing the verbal feedback from participants when something profound is shared. 100 women for Howard, gave me that nourishment✨ I am thankful to the team that planned and executed this event, to the incredible women I had one on one conversations with, to the students who boldly made introductions, and to the women athletes for showing up as young professionals and awesome representations of themselves, their families and their school🙏🏽 @howard1867 @hubisonsports @thestrategist_at @marissamtchll @chrysachin @laurenbuckner_ @diverserepresentation Thank you all for sharing your light and filling me up, what a special day and may we continue to invest in and raise money for women in sports🏀✨
