Caleb Downs — Mill Creek HS Alum and son of FCA Gwinnett staff, Gary Downs, gives Glory to God after being drafted 11th by the Dallas Cowboys!
Matthew 22:33-40 talks about loving the Lord your God with your whole heart and 2 Corinthians 10:31 says “..whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
So awesome to see the impact that Gen50 Ministries made on Caleb in high school alongside the faithful, Christ-centered guidance from his dad, Gary Downs. God’s faithfulness and glory on full display!
If you’re always stepping in to fix things, your kid won’t learn how to handle life when you’re not there. Let them mess up. Let them feel uncomfortable. Let them struggle. That’s where real growth happens.
But there’s a difference between healthy struggle and harm. If your child is in a verbally or physically abusive situation with a coach, teammate, or anyone, step in. Immediately. Growth should never come at the cost of safety.

What a powerful Youth Sunday at Suwanee Worship Center!
We were truly blessed by the wisdom and testimony shared by Gary Downs — former NFL player and Gwinnett County Area Representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
As a father of successful children who are athletes, he spoke from lived experience about Godly parenting in today’s times — reminding us of the importance of intentionally teaching our children about faith and faithfully living it out in our homes each day.
It was a timely, practical, and deeply inspiring word for our church family.
Grateful for worship, fellowship, and the opportunity to grow together in Christ.
