What does it take for good to overcome evil? For virtue to triumph over vice? For pain to transform into strength?
For Khafre Tate, the answer lies inside the ropes.
Khafre spent much of his life misunderstood, struggling to find a way to express himself. “I know it’s cliché to say, but if it wasn’t for Muay Thai, I’d either be in jail or dead.” As a teenager, without the right outlets or support systems, he turned to partying and drinking, crashing his car multiple times and living on the brink of self-destruction.
But just as God- or the universe- was sending him reality checks to sober up, it was also giving him signs that fighting was the path meant for him. When he was nearly consumed by darkness, he found the light within himself. Khafre began training with complete dedication, and with the right mindset, he began to find himself exactly where he was meant to be.
In just a few years, under the guidance of

Yet it was never about the belts- it was about finally finding a way to release his pain and express himself. Everything was coming together mentally, physically, and spiritually- until his best friend, Ty, passed away in November 2024.
Khafre had no way to process the grief except by letting it out inside the ring. But “letting it out” doesn’t mean he only comes for destruction- he comes to create art. When Khafre wears his heart on his sleeve and feels Ty’s presence, that’s when he is at his best. While most fighters try to compete without emotion, fighting emotionally is his superpower, and Ty’s influence shines through in every performance.
Since then, Khafre has become a WBC International Silver Medalist, 2x WBC National Champion, repeating Grand Nationals Champion, repeating WKA Champion, and Gut Check Champion. Now, he’s chasing the Freedom National Title. On May 14th, Khafre will enter the Freedom ring for the very first time- to once again represent Ty, and demonstrate spiritual freedom in its purest form. LLTY
