I got something in the mail today that meant more to me than any paycheck or result.
A letter from someone who was at my fight in Lewiston… someone who didn’t come to watch me, but stayed, and was impacted by what they saw.
Not just the fight, but how I carried myself. The words I said. The fact that I gave all the glory to God.
That’s why I do this.
Fighting is just the platform. Winning just gives me a louder voice. But if people can see the love, strength, and truth of God through me in those moments, then it’s all worth it.
Grateful for the opportunity to represent Him, my family, and where I come from every time I step in that cage.
Matthew 5:16
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
God is good.
Between rounds 2 and 3, I was tired. I’d been in bad spots. I could feel the fight slipping.
Then my corner went to work.
No panic. No yelling. Just clarity.
“He’s tired.”
“This is yours.”
“Go take it.”
That changed everything.
A good corner doesn’t just give advice, they change your mindset when it matters most. They remind you who you are when you forget for a second.
I went out for round 3 with a different mind… and got the finish.
Choose your corner wisely.
Last night was one I’ll never forget.
Main event in my hometown. In front of family, friends, and people who have never seen me fight before.
I went through a lot of adversity in that cage. My opponent was incredibly tough, strong, and dangerous. I was in bad spots, got put in places I didn’t want to be, and had every reason to break.
But I didn’t.
I kept fighting. I trusted my training, my coaches, and God. In the 3rd round I found my opening, landed the shots, and got the TKO.
My body is sore today. My face and ear are beat up. But I’m grateful.
2-0 as a pro.
“All things are possible for one who believes.” – Mark 9:23
Fight camp is over.
This room is a forge. Months of work, miles, hard rounds, sore bodies, and sacrifice. But we made it to the end healthy, sharper, and in the best shape of my life.
Now it’s time to make weight and fulfill God’s will.

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me.’”
Fight week.
The work is done. The miles, the pain, the sacrifice, the doubt, the growth. Now it is time to walk into the fire with faith, purpose, and the people God put around me.
Pre fight interview with the great Brendon Bucini today. Thanks again for the time you gave me to share my thoughts, experiences and what’s on my mind bro. Can’t wait to see what you do with the footage!
Thank you Jeff Davila and Andrea Kelsey for graciously allowing us to use your space for the interview at The Path Jiu-Jitsu • Nine Mile Falls WA.
Last hard day of camp.
This room is a forge. Iron sharpens iron and these men have made me better.
Now it’s time to recover, cut the weight, trust the work, and let God do the rest. 🙏
