Vivian Dorothy Maier (February 1, 1926 – April 21, 2009) was an American street photographer whose work was discovered and recognized after her death. She took more than 150,000 photographs during her lifetime, primarily of the people and architecture of Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles, although she also traveled and photographed around the world.

Miyako Ishiuchi (born March 27, 1947), is a Japanese photographer. In 2005, she represented Japan at the Venice Biennale.In March 2014, she received the Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography. Ishiuchi's work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
