Every day for the last 3 months, Iāve gotten to work alongside the fiercest group of theatre makers. Iām inspired by everyone who Iāve worked alongside to make this show happen. Iāve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to effect change for good when working on a show. Where is the intersection of art and activism? One small way Iāve discovered to do this is by supporting non-profits relating to the show. So, it seemed fitting to support the work that @thesharktrust is doing by adopting our own Bruce in celebration of The Shark Is Broken at @georgestreetplayhouse š¦āļø
This was one little gem of a play that has brought so much joy, backstage and onstage. Sad to be saying goodbye to this one today. Happy closing to the brightest, kindest group of artists šš
One hundred fifty three performances. š«š¹šæāļøšššŖ The longest show Iāve run, complete. š« But I am filled up with memories and laughs and inside jokes. And also a lot of lessons learned and growth as a stage manager - this show was not without its challenges. But mostly, I am grateful for the friendships formed, and grateful to have worked alongside each of you.
