Happy Match Day! Our medical students have spent four years training to become compassionate, highly skilled physicians, and now they finally know where they will be saving lives. Next stop: RESIDENCY! 🥼✉️
We are beyond proud of the CMSRU Class of 2026 for achieving an incredible 100% match rate, exceeding the national average for the 11th consecutive year since our inaugural graduating class!
Here is how our 105 students matched:
- 53.3% are entering primary care fields to address critical workforce needs.
- 32.4% are staying right here to strengthen the New Jersey physician workforce.
- 17 graduates will continue their journey at CMSRU/Cooper University Health Care.
- Placements include highly competitive specialties like Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Urology.
- Our students are headed to premier institutions across the country, including the Mayo Clinic, UPenn, NYU, and Brown.
Congratulations to our future residents! You have made an indelible impression on this school, and we cannot wait to see the impact you will have on the medical profession.

The CMSRU community gathered for the annual Story Slam, where eight brave storytellers shared five-minute stories centered on this year's theme: "The Unexpected Diagnosis." It was a beautiful reminder that behind every medical chart is a person with a story to tell. After a live audience vote, your 2026 Story Slam winners are:

🥈 2nd Place: Mary Volpe, Clinical Documentation Specialist (Cooper University Health Care) – "HPV: The Story We Didn’t Know We Needed to Tell"
🥉 3rd Place: Maggie Burzynski, M3 (PC3) – "Phantom Pain"
