Everyone meet SSgt Elisabeth “Elise” Upchurch. A reservist who just completed a seven-month deployment and, before even heading home, took the time to brief our MAJCOM and NAF Command Chiefs on her experiences downrange.
Her resilience and attitude are what we need more of in our Air Force!
Airmen,
In the first edition of the “WHY” Series, we asked you to reflect on your “WHY.” In our latest edition, we’re focusing on your resilience, both physical and mental.
Your body is the first and most important weapon system you will ever operate, and we want to ensure it’s ready for the fight. We are shifting from a culture of testing to a culture of readiness, and we want to hear from you as we make that transition.
Check out the full edition online at the CMSAF page on AF.MIL.
While you’re at it, take a diagnostic test. It doesn’t count unless you want it to, but your data helps us ensure these standards actually work for you. We care about your readiness and look forward to your feedback. Your fitness is your promise to the team: “I am prepared, and I will not fail you.”
Today, we made it clear: We cannot build a 6th-generation Air Force while underinvesting in our Airmen and Families.
I look forward to continuing to partner with Congress on solutions that matter.
Readiness begins at home. Taking care of Airmen means taking care of their families, and it’s a responsibility we take seriously.
When we invest in the stability, support, and well-being of our Airmen and families, we strengthen readiness and ensure mission success.
AFA Warfare Symposium – Day 2 ✅
I had a great time today at #AFAColorado recording the Doolittle Leadership Center’s Building Better Leaders podcast with SEAC #4 Ramón “CZ” Colón-López.
Looking forward to closing out the conference tomorrow with a keynote and AMA. Stop by and bring your questions!
AFA Warfare Symposium Day 1 ✅
I can't think of a better way to kick off #AFAColorado than to hear from our SecAF on Acquisition Acceleration and our CSAF on Fixing and Flying.
Come find me on the floor!
Look out for the first edition of the Why Series letters to Airmen. Send your best questions for a chance to have CMSAF answer them in the next edition!
