🌍 Earth Day Celebration 🌱
🌍 Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and active participation by students of Grades 1 to 5 through a variety of engaging, creative, and meaningful activities 🌿✨. The celebration aimed to build environmental awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among students towards protecting the Earth 🌎.
Students of Grades 1 and 2 participated in the hands-on “Earth Rescue Mission” activity, where the classroom was transformed into a “damaged Earth” 🌍. Working in groups, students cleaned litter to address land degradation, fixed water wastage by marking taps with water drop symbols, and restored greenery by adding tree cut-outs 🌳💧. This interactive simulation helped them understand key concepts such as deforestation, afforestation, and conservation while promoting teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Students of Grades 3 and 4 engaged in the expressive “If I Were the Earth” Freeze Activity 🎭. Through imaginative prompts like “Earth is happy” and “Earth is sad,” students used actions and expressions to depict environmental care and harm. This activity encouraged them to think from the Earth’s perspective, helping them understand the impact of human actions and develop empathy towards the environment .
Grade 5 students participated in the thought-provoking “Mystery Box – What’s Wrong with Earth?” activity 🎁. By identifying environmental issues through everyday objects such as plastic, waste, and polluted water, they explored problems like pollution and resource misuse 🚯. Students also suggested practical solutions such as recycling, reducing plastic use, conserving water, and planting trees 🌱.
Overall, the Earth Day celebration was a fun, enriching, and impactful learning experience that successfully combined awareness with action, inspiring students to become responsible and environmentally conscious individuals 🌟
*World Book Day Celebrations at CMS Cambridge*
World Book Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at CMS Cambridge, on the 23rd of April reinforcing the idea that *books are our greatest treasure and true companions for life. The day began with a vibrant **Fancy Dress Competition* for Grades 1 and 2, where students brought their favourite literary characters to life, reminding everyone of the magic stories hold.
An engaging *inter-house debate* on “Is AI threatening human creativity?” highlighted how books continue to nurture imagination, depth of thought, and originality in ways nothing else can. Grade 8 students presented a lively *book jingle* on The Adventures of Tintin, celebrating the joy of reading.
Students of *Grades 6 and 7* further expressed their love for books by creating *mini books—both inspired and original—and designing **creative posters* on their favourite reads. AYP Adventure Trip (Bronze Journey)
Our students embarked on a transformative adventure trip to Mussoorie from 31st March to 3rd April under the guidance of Cambridge Coordinator GN Extn Ms Maseerah Arif , Award Leader Ms Sneha Dwivedi and Sr Maths educator Mr Nikhilesh Pandey. The camp offered a perfect blend of adventure, learning, and personal growth.
Students engaged in challenging activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, stream running, and a survival trek, where they learned essential life skills like teamwork, self-reliance, and adaptability. Hands-on experiences in trekking techniques, knot making, and wilderness survival further enriched their journey.
Beyond physical challenges, the trip encouraged students to disconnect from gadgets and connect with nature, fostering confidence, resilience, and independence. Devaagyh Dixit, a student of CMS Cambridge GN2 and World Robotics Olympiad 2025 Silver Medalist, visited the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Innovation Hub on 18th April 2026.
Working in agritech and drone technology, he is developing solutions for precision farming and environmental monitoring. During the visit, he interacted with Vandana Sharma (Chief Innovation Officer) and Sanjeev Mishra (Deputy Director), gaining insights into startup incubation and real-world innovation.
