We had the amazing, wonderful, and joyful @peterhreynolds for an author/illustrator talk at school today.The teachers, the librarian, and afterschool art @alamedaartsfun were possibly more excited to meet him than the students! Students asked great questions. He read “Ish” one of my most favorite books. I got to share my books with him. What a perfect school assembly!

Thought we could use a little simple joy right now. 1st grade artists sketching color grids that will become paintings. We're learning about Stanley Whitney. Students decided to name their sketches after watching a video where he talks about the importance of names. Someone even decided to make a book about @stanley.whitney
