Champion Emmy stopped by Walmart #3087 in St, Albert and #1122 in Edmonton, Alberta to show support for her local children’s hospital foundation and was surprised with a birthday celebration 🎉💙 Emmy was born with spinal dysgenesis, a rare condition that affects the development of the spine and spinal cord, and her family was once told she might never walk. Thanks to donor support, she is not only walking today but also twirling, performing, and shining on stage. It's so meaningful that Emmy was able to spend time celebrating her special day with her local Walmart team, the very people helping raise funds for children just like her and making progress possible. This May, @walmartcanada is raising funds to support kids like Emmy across Canada who need access to life-changing care. 🌟 We are thrilled to introduce the 2026 Children’s Miracle Network Canadian Champions! 🌟 These incredible young ambassadors each have inspiring healthcare journeys to share and represent the 3.2 million hospital visits made to children’s hospitals across Canada every year. 🏥 Meet our Champions: 🐦 Ireland, age 9, Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, loves listening to birds and singing with her little sister. 🎨 Isabella, age 8, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, spends time crafting and painting, and dreams of moving to Paris one day. 🥁 Uday, age 14, Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, loves playing drums and dreams of becoming a neurologist. 📣 Ellis, age 11, IWK Foundation, loves cruising around in her powerchair and dreams of becoming an advocate for people with disabilities. 🎶 Kayden, age 13, CHEO, loves music and is always the first on the dance floor. ⚽ Kate, age 14, MacKids, enjoys playing soccer and horseback riding. 💃 Karlee, age 10, Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, loves competitive dance. 🎭 Loukian, age 13, Enfant Soleil, enjoys theatre and the arts. 🏀 Caleb, age 7, SickKids Foundation, loves music and basketball. 🏊‍♀️ Ivy, age 6, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, enjoys swimming, gymnastics, and riding her bike. ⚾ Lochlan and Colton, ages 8 and 10, Children’s Health Foundation, love playing baseball and training to become Major League players. ✨ Emmy, age 11, Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, spends time twirling and performing; her smile lighting up every stage.
