CMDC Media Leaders Dinner 2026
Last week, we brought together more than 200 leaders from across Canada’s media industry.
A standout moment was hearing from Rudyard Griffiths, who reminded us of Canada’s unique position to lead. We have what the world needs: talent, capital, natural resources, creativity, stability and values that matter. 🇨🇦
Thank you to our CMDC Board, partners and every leader investing in the future of Canadian media.

🇨🇦Canadian Media is unique. In its unerring focus on trust, truth, and empirical evidence. Not least of all through public policy, but dynamically through iterative ecosystem practices to protect citizens from misinformation 📌 @cmdccanada
Media Leaders 💡Tomorrow, 200 of Canada’s media leaders will come together for an evening of connection, perspective, and leadership.
The CMDC Media Leaders Dinner is a moment to step back and engage in the conversations that matter most — leadership, trust, influence, and Canada’s role in a rapidly shifting global economy.
Because leadership today isn’t just about navigating change.
It’s about shaping what comes next — through dialogue, debate, and clear thinking.
We’re pleased to welcome Rudyard Griffiths, Chair of the Munk Debates and Senior Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs, for a timely conversation on Global Power Shifts: How Emerging Geopolitical Risks Will Reshape Canada’s Future.
Thank you to our partner, @thetradedesk , for supporting this important leadership gathering.

Following her keynote, guests will also have the opportunity to join a special signing of her latest bestselling book, 100 Ways to Future-Proof Your Brain 📚in the Age of AI.
This is a conversation for leaders ready to think bigger, lead smarter, and stay deeply human.

🇨🇦 Canada AI Policy Update — February 2026
A powerful step on the global stage: Canada’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, Evan Solomon, and Germany’s Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernization, Karsten Wildberger, signed a joint declaration on AI at the Munich Security Conference—launching a new Sovereign Technology Alliance.
As CMDC President Shannon Lewis shared with Media in Canada: “With AI set to unlock a $230B growth opportunity for Canada, leadership in secure and sovereign AI is an investment in our economic future. The real opportunity now is execution, putting Canadian innovators, businesses, and talent at the forefront, and strengthening local content and digital infrastructure at home.”
