Malcolm X Academy (MXA) was founded as a full-time liberation school by the Sacramento chapter of Community Movement Builders in 2022, and has now grown to become a CMB National Project. With the support of CMB Sacramento, CMB Dallas has launched their MXA after-school program. CMB Atlanta is preparing for the launch of a MXA program in 2026, along with MXA sports programs for the youth across our nine chapters.
We are asking for community support to sponsor and donate to our campaign to help support our children’s growth as we work to expand and grow Malcolm X Academy.

@916mxa is celebrating Malcolm X’s birthday Friday May 15th by inviting the community out to the Shakur Center to see how we have been “honoring our ancestor”. The @916mxa babies will have work from their school year on display including music, holistic wellness, art, history, Swahili, & more!
Come learn how we at @communitymovementbuilders are honoring Malcolm through our MXA initiative & for families interested in enrolling with @916mxa for next school year this is a great opportunity to get a sneak peek 👀 at what we are doing!
