I’m sitting here preparing for my keynote for CreativeMornings Tulsa and realizing… I’ve had a presentation for a while. But a few nights before the big day, I paused and asked myself: What are people actually curious about? I’m a multi-hyphenate creative, and the theme for the one year anniversary is CREATE. Creation has looked wildly different across my life and work. Some of you may want to hear about: - how I build immersive murder mystery dinner parties - producing a 25+ person table read in a week - writing a TV pilot rooted in alternate history - building creative communities like Saturday Scribe - stewarding spaces like NDA Haus - storytelling, strategy, and “narrative infrastructure” - balancing creativity, faith, and sustainability - turning ideas into actual systems people can participate in Far too often creative talks stay surface level. I’d rather dig into the things people are actually wrestling with. So tell me: 👉🏾 What would you want me to unpack? 👉🏾 What questions do you have about the creative process, community building, storytelling, or bringing ideas to life? I’ll try to be thoughtful to address your questions live. And if you’re free Friday morning, come through. Would love to create with y’all in the room. 📍 Tulsa Center for Creativity 🗓️ CreativeMornings Tulsa ⏰ 8:30–10 AM✨✨✨ @cm_tul @centerforcreativitytulsa

How many of you have had a near-death experience? And if your life fractured in an instant… would you know how to let the light in? This month, we’re talking about EMBER—the quiet strength that stays lit even after everything shifts. Our next speaker, Carrie Corcoran, knows this firsthand. What started as a moment of confusion turned into a life-altering experience. But what didn’t go out was her light. She chose to heal. She chose to forgive herself. And she turned that experience into something powerful. Now she’s a keynote speaker, resilience coach, and founder of the Unbreakable Light movement—helping others reconnect with their own strength. If you’ve ever been through something that changed you… this one’s for you. April 17 8:30 AM Tulsa Come through. What ember is still glowing in you?

Tulsa, this one’s about where we’re from. Our March CreativeMornings theme is LOCAL : chosen by our Santos chapter in Brazil. They describe local as the feeling of loving a place, leaving it, returning to it, and realizing how deeply it shaped you. So we’re asking: ✨ How does where you’re from define who you are?
✨ What places help us feel connected?
✨ How can we strengthen community right where we live? Join us March 20 as Roniet Sachs shares stories and ideas around creativity, place, and belonging. ☀️ CreativeMornings Tulsa

Our theme for March is LOCAL. It was chosen by our Santos chapter in Brazil and illustrated by Simone Matias. Local (pronounced lo·cal) in Portuguese means “being a resident or native to a particular area.” Our Santos chapter had this to say about the significance of this month’s theme: “We are proud to be from Santos. The feeling of loving the city but sometimes moving away. The benefits of belonging somewhere.” Watch this video from our Santos chapter for more on what local means to them. So, how does where you’re from define who you are? How do different spaces foster that sense of connection? How can we develop and strengthen bonds with the people around us? It’s time to remind ourselves that community happens in neighborhoods not just on screens.

Next Meeting: Friday February 20th. Our theme for February is CAMINO. It was chosen by our Oviedo chapter in Asturias, Spain and illustrated by Marta Vila. Camino (pronounced Kah-Mee-Noh) is a Spanish word meaning “path” or “way.” You don’t have to know exactly where your path leads, just trust that you’ll learn what you need along the way. Wherever you are headed, we wish you, as they say in Oviedo, “buen camino.” May you have a safe and meaningful journey.

A glimmer of hope can change everything ✨ This Friday morning, join CreativeMornings Tulsa with Emeka Nnaka, a keynote speaker, mental health therapist, coach, and advocate whose life and work are rooted in resilience and hope. Our January theme is کورسو (Koorsoo), a Farsi word meaning “a glimmer of hope.” Chosen by the CreativeMornings Tehran chapter, Koorsoo reminds us that even the smallest light can carry us through dark moments. Emeka’s story invites us to live beyond labels and protect the hope that keeps us moving forward. 🗓 This Friday ⏰ 8:30 AM 📍 Center for Creativity RSVP via bio link! As the new year begins, ask yourself: what is giving me hope right now? Come share that light with us 💛

See you Friday!!! Our theme for January is کورسو (KOORSOO). It was chosen by our Tehran chapter in Iran and illustrated by Hoda Ramy. کورسو or Koorsoo (pronounced Koor·Soo) is a Farsi word meaning “a glimmer of hope.” Each month, a different CreativeMornings chapter chooses a theme for our talks given in cities around the world. This year, many of our monthly themes will be in that chapter’s local language. Our hope is that this will give each theme a richer meaning and foster deeper connections to other communities and cultures. Our Tehran chapter had this to say about the significance of this month’s theme: “In our darkest hours, when everything seems to have dimmed, sometimes a light remains—not bright, not certain, but real. That is Koorsoo. A faint glimmer of hope that dares to survive. Koorsoo is not about triumph or clarity; it is about the fragile yet unwavering light that keeps us going. A glance, a memory, a word. Small things that prevent collapse. It represents the quiet resilience of those who continue in spite of the weight, who believe without guarantee. In a world that often normalizes despair, Koorsoo is a rebellion; soft, but profound. It reminds us, even the smallest spark matters.” As a new year begins, ask yourself, “what is giving me hope right now?” It’s up to each of us to keep that little light shining. Protect it and hold it dear. But be careful not to smother it. Share your koorsoo with the people around you. Because the world needs all the hope it can get.
