This play garden was commissioned by a lovely pair of grandparents for their first grandchild. The wooden playhouse is tucked away in a raised planter underneath an existing hedge to integrate it as much as possible to the existing landscape. Wood stump steps lead up to the playhouse, which has a braided rope railing. A rung ladder leads to the top deck, where the slide is located. There is also a cargo net for climbing, a rope ladder, and plenty of handles. The spider web swing is hanging from a steel beam attached to steel posts, which also support the shade sail system. The padded artificial turf is soft underfoot where needed, broken up by a flagstone walkway and plenty of soft and fragrant plants. A boulder fountain provides the opportunity for water play and nearby, a little matching bench is underneath the Chinese Elm tree that will provide shade in the future.
