Today the federal government, announced more than $32.6 million through the Canada Greener Affordable Housing Program (CGAH) to repair and retrofit 269 homes at Garden Court Housing Co-op and Packard Housing Co-op.
The 2024 acquisition of these two housing co-operatives by the Community Land Trust—supported by the Province through the Rental Protection Fund and by the City of Coquitlam—was a critical step in making sure resident members could stay in their homes and remain part of this community.
Upgrades include the installation of doubled-paned windows, new heat pumps, energy recovery ventilators, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and rooftop solar panels. In addition to reduced energy costs, many of these upgrades will also result in greater comfort and safety for residents during extreme weather events.

Our 981 Davie project welcomed another important visit this past weekend.
Hosted by Michaël Robach, Interim Executive Director of QMUNITY, the tour offered a preview of the future QMUNITY space within the development.
In attendance were the Minister for Women and Gender Equality, the Honourable Rechie Valdez; B.C.’s Attorney General, the Honourable Niki Sharma; Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity, Jennifer Blatherwick; and local MLA Terry Yung. All were there to support ongoing efforts to uplift the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Vancouver and across the province.
A key feature of the project is the new QMUNITY centre, a vital resource that will provide services, programs, and a safe, inclusive gathering space.

We’re excited to welcome our new Property Manager, who brings 11 years of property management experience, specializing in aging, low-rise properties in the BC rental market. Bartek also has four years of leadership experience managing a large, geographically diverse portfolio across the Fraser Valley and BC Interior.
When asked what brought him to CLT, Bartek replied:

Outside of work, Bartek is an avid outdoors enthusiast who loves hiking and camping. Mountains and forests feel as much like home as his apartment, and in his spare time he also enjoys travelling, skiing, and playing tennis.
