This song is very important to us because it’s one of the first that we ever wrote together. It’s about seeing what you’re truly capable of but realizing you have to lock in & drop toxic people along the way to get to where you want to be.
I remember writing this with a slight cold, i was just sick enough to make my voice sound weird & it was a rainy morning after I had just gotten out of class. I was sitting on my bed in my 3rd story bedroom of my frat’s old house and just like that the intro hit me. - Ryley
When writing the drum part for this I really wanted something that you could headbang too, but also had a nice groove to it. I feel like i achieved that with the use of the ghost notes and then playing to the song in separate areas. I also really love the bridge the most, good classic punk beat with some double kicks.
