I thought about bringing my digital camera but opted for just my travel Contax and a tiny notepad instead. Slowing down for a few minutes and really studying the lines and shapes of a space instead of snapping a quick photo and moving on. I really enjoyed this whole little personal project. My film camera ended up dying when we got back to Tokyo, and though a phone camera does the trick, there’s something really nice about drinking matcha with a pen and paper.
Ok wow. Japan left me speechless. What an incredible country. Hard to recap properly in 20 slides but here’s a few moments that were really nice. Can’t wait to return with bikes and live off onigiri and cans of hot coffee. Grateful for the chance to see this beautiful place 🌀🇯🇵
Taking a break from real life for a minute but still thinking about making art all the time and daydreaming about making things with clay forever. Gathering some creative juices to get inspired but for now here some past moments 🌀
Finally getting around to organizing some old film folders and finding out that I have a secret obsession with kitchens.
I love these spaces in their mess and perfection. Little reminders of shared meals, wholesome food and long days.
Mostly clay, some tunes and a couple bike rides. (Honestly haven’t taken many photos this fall.)
Very excited to finally put some clay work out in the world. Though rip to cool blue vase that did not survive the bisque.
