With so many of the other news stories being positive and this one demonizing trans folk being the one pinned to the top, you can feel the forced hatred towards trans folks.
Wake up and smell the anti-trans propaganda.
This isn't new, the media has been pitting you against your neighbor forever.
They demonize real people with real struggles and tell you they're the problem.
They repeat it and normalize it until nobody cares when people disappear.
People think if they turn a blind eye or kiss up to the current admin that they'll somehow be saved.
They will come for you, and if you don't speak up for anyone else... Well who could speak up for you?

The Ramshackle Glory lyrics bounced around my caffeinated brain as I struggled to keep myself awake, screaming about vampires as I pushed on through the foggy sunrise of the Poconos.
There are people you will meet in your life that drain all of your energy, that will exhaust you, ones that will test you; But to the same point, there are people out there that you maybe haven't met yet, that recharge your social battery, lighten the load in ways you never expected, no masking, just genuine connection.
For those people, I'd drive all night just to see you.
I don't travel with people much, but I've got friends on both coasts, love in my heart, and a midwesterners ethos that "no drive is too far"
