I was truly honoured today that Her Majesty The Queen, stopped her motorcade to find out more about The Cirrus & Cloud Garden. She enjoyed the height elements, colour and the roses on my garden.
I have met so many wonderful people today and am truly in awe of the reception to The Cirrus Garden. I cant wait to meet even more of you over the next coming days.

This morning I arrived to find that The Cirrus Garden has been awarded A Silver Gilt Medal. I am truly blown away. Never in a million years did I think the garden would win an award but to get higher than a Bronze or Silver and land a Silver Gilt just a stones throw away from a Gold.. I am over the moon.
A special thanks to my mentor @herveybrookes for seeing me across the finishing line.
Also, thank you to everyone around me who has worked so hard to make this garden come to life and for anyone out there going through it with mental health or dealing with imposter syndrome... Don't let it define and control you. You got this 💪🏾❤

After 5 months, I can't believe I finally get to unveil my RHS - Royal Horticultural Society Cheslea Flower Show garden: The Cirrus Garden. It features plants grown by my local nursery, Chorlton Plant Nursery. The plain white wall represents cladding & the fact that as renters we can not add fixtures & of course.. it's super vibrant ❤💜❤💜❤

I stayed over at @ruddingparkhotel and took a tour of The Kitchen Garden. I was blown away at the work that the kitchen team do in this walled garden. The garden is so productive that along with it's fruit trees, it produces food for the Hotels michellen starred restaurant called Fifty Two.
If you get a chance and are visiting Harrogate soon, I'd definitely recommend staying and taking a kitchen garden tour.

Ad Did you know that you can direct sow straight into your containers? Now the temperature has warmed up, so has your soil. This means you can start to direct some seeds straight into your containers. You don't have to worry about transplanting or potting on, just thinning the seedlings down.
I'm using seeds from @fothergillsuk to grow some salads and veg on my garden this year. Now to keep the seedlings away from pesky slugs!

These guys were in almost every container! Including my window boxes, so i finally had to take action. You can order nematodes online and they work swiftly. The nematodes will take care of the grubs in the soil. However, I have still found a couple of adults hiding away as I've been moving pots, so I'm going to repeat the process until I know I'm all clear.
2 weeks later the garden's looking better a d I can finally start planting out! 💚

@bostse1 and their Future Gardeners programme helps to provide horticultural qualifications to people within their community to help them get the skills they need to pursue a career in horticulture.
As part of Earth Raise, I travelled down to volunteer for the day to learn more about what -they do and how their work has impacted their community.
They are on a mission to raise £10k to keep the programme running. The @biggiveorg will double any donations between 22nd April to the 29th April. That will make a huge difference! Head to the Big Give Website and select Bankside Open Spaces Trust to donate.
