Hi, I’m Amy — a creative soul, business owner and lover of many things but especially meaningful connection, family and of course beautifully styled spaces and thoughtfully curated celebrations! I’m the founder of Cloud 9 Events and Styling, where I help bring unforgettable weddings, celebrations, and events to life. With over 15 years in the wedding and events industry - covering styling, planning, marketing, hospitality, and venue management, I’m passionate about creating moments that feel meaningful, authentic, and full of heart. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a large celebration, I love working with my clients to turn their vision into reality. 💫 Along with my partner, I’m also the proud owner of Bower On Lake, my little retail dream in Laurieton, NSW. Bower On Lake is where I curate pre-loved, upcycled, vintage, and new homewares and décor — perfect for styling your space, entertaining, or finding that unique gift. A Wedding Planner and Wedding Stylist are two very distinct roles within the wedding industry. Whilst at Cloud 9 Events we offer both of these services we also offer Styling without the need for full wedding planning and often tailor our services to include micro or mini planning assistance to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are some stylists who do not offer planning and vice versa. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wedding Planner: A wedding planner is responsible for overseeing the entire wedding planning process. They assist with logistics, budget management, vendor coordination, and timeline creation. Their main focus is on the organisation and execution of the event. Wedding planners handle tasks such as finding and booking venues, managing contracts, arranging transportation, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the wedding day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wedding Stylist: A wedding stylist, also known as a wedding designer or decorator, primarily focuses on the aesthetics and visual aspects of the wedding. They specialise in creating and implementing a cohesive design concept that reflects the couple's style and vision. Wedding stylists work on elements such as colour schemes, floral arrangements, lighting design, table settings, and overall ambiance. They collaborate with the couple to understand their preferences and then curate a visually stunning and cohesive look for the wedding. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In summary, while a wedding planner manages the entire planning process and logistics, a wedding stylist is more focused on the visual design and aesthetics of the wedding. My year of weddings and events ended with a C I R C U S 🎪 There was a lot of detail and time that went into creating this; from draping to lighting, entertainment, props, performers, signage, food and food theatre, stationery, transport, photography, table styling, music… the run sheet and supplier logistics and on the day coordination from early morning until hitting the pillow at home at 3:30am. All of the ideas, the planning and the vision is only possible when every supplier delivers and the orchestration of what a successful event is plays out in real time.
