During the winter months @SoulTrakOutdoors brings Howard University Students to the slopes—many for the very first time. “Setting Soul” is a short film documenting the journey. An empowering story about the impact of returning to nature, remembering we belong, fostering community, and the melanated leaders that create these pathways to freedom. A couple of weeks ago, we screened Setting Soul at the Arc’teryx Store in Georgetown, in partnership with Soul Trak Outdoors. Bright Path Collective is a D.C. based multi-sport program centering youth of color. Our #1 goal is to remove the financial barrier to entry, provide access and opportunities to sports. This summer we collaborated with JT Skateschool and successfully offered 3 skate clinics. Our 3-day program was led by JT and Sir and included free skateboards, helmets, pads, goodie bags, lunch, snacks, beverages and more. Relive the memorable moments from our recent Indigo Plant Dye Workshop at The @thearcfarm . Hosted by @anmadethis and sponsored by @arcteryxwashingtondc , @topochicousa , and @moss , it was a day of hands-on learning and sustainable practices. • In the heart of Anacostia, participants immersed themselves in the art of natural dyeing. With indigo vats bubbling and fabrics transforming, attendees learned the intricate process of harvesting and preparing indigo leaves. • The workshop fostered a sense of community as participants bonded over shared experiences and gained a deeper appreciation for eco-friendly practices. Through practical demonstrations and engaging discussions, attendees left with not only dyed fabrics but also a newfound understanding of their connection to the environment. • 📸: @clirror
