Deep Ellum was the beating heart of Dallas music — from Blind Lemon Jefferson and Freddie King playing these streets in the 1920s and 30s, to the Vaughan Brothers carrying the torch decades later, to Erykah Badu reimagining what Dallas music could be. Blues Alley puts them all on the wall where they belong.
