Still can’t believe how Ed manages to pull this off 💪🔥
Improvised salsa can be so fast - and he nails it every time - whereas I normally last so long before I panic and mess it all up 😅
But I’m really pleased with the improvement. The more we train in salsa, the more I’m getting used to the crazy complex combinations that Ed throws at me 🤪 Slowly but surely, I’m learning to panic less and go with the flow🤣💪

Based on the first round of testing, I’ve been refining the app to make sure it delivers everything that dancers need.
Here’s what’s new:
⭐️ Dark mode is now fully live
⭐️ Personalised home feed options
⭐️ More advanced event search filters
⭐️ Improved way to add and showcase dance experience
Really excited about the direction things are heading — and there’s plenty more to come 🚀

I recently invited users to test an early version of ClikStep, and offer feedback on how I could improve the app going forward.

Though things are going well - the app isn’t perfect yet … so let’s talk about what needs work 👇
No disasters (thankfully 😅) — just tweaks, polish, and a few key improvements before launch.
Main areas I’m focusing on now:
🌙 Fixing dark mode
🏠 Adding more customisation to the home page feed
🌐 Upgrading translation
There were also some great suggestions put forward by the testers, such as:
👉 More detailed profile filters (like training hours per week
👉 Tracking routines, goals & progress
Next step: implement changes, final polish… then submit to Apple & Google 🚀

Starting with the easiest video to record - because this is what went RIGHT ☺️✅
Most importantly, every single tester who responded said they would actually use ClikStep!!!
And honestly… that means everything.
The biggest wins were:

🌍 Valuable for the international dance community
💬 And the chat feature… a HUGE success
And being completely honest, building a fully functional chat feature into your first app is no joke 😅 So being able to have real conversations inside the app without issues was a massive win 🏆
Also shoutout to the person who said “this is much needed” — that’s exactly why I started this 💪
I’m really proud of where things are at right now…

🚀 ClikStep testing is officially complete… and wow.
I opened it up to testers without knowing what to expect — and ended up with over 20 users jumping in from all across the world 🌍 (including UK, France, Australia, USA, Japan, Spain… 👀)
It has been amazing to see people actually explore the app, create profiles, and properly test it.
Even better — the feedback coming through has been incredibly valuable.
So in the next two videos I’ll go into full detail of:
👉 what’s working really well
👉 what still needs improving

I've now updated the ClikStep website with a NEWS section.
Creating an app takes a LONG time - there is a lot of coding, development, tests and trials that happen in the background to make sure I deliver a perfect product for you.

It’s been a really busy week behind the scenes at ClikStep.
Our first cohort of testers is now exploring the app, and I’m already adding new features based directly on their feedback — which is exactly how I want this platform to grow.
This week so far:
1️⃣ Refined partner search to make matches more accurate
2️⃣ Testing officially underway (full feedback coming next week)
3️⃣ Added the option for users to delete previously created accounts
4️⃣ Push notifications are now live so you never miss a message
Once all the feedback is in, I’ll share an update on what’s next 👀
