first timer at Backyard Ultra race format. 12 hours on the loop, 80km. feeling grateful to run & participate with so many running devotees. after all the emotions settled in, seems like I should have given much more on the course, which means there’s only one way - learn, train & come back stronger next year. big respect to my love & teammates who smashed it too ❤️

Hardly doubt I find the right words to write down my current expressions about this institution, but what I reckon very explicit is what this club gave me in all matters. I have been introduced to the community & nightlife on early days by Vidmantas Čepkauskas, who taught me so many valuable lessons in my early days of clubbing. Not only a colleague he was but a true mentor of how it’s done in this industry, the professionalism I admire to these days. Endless talks at Opium headquarters about the scene itself, this or that release, not leaving the jokes aside. Thank you, @vmusiquesynthetique Opium club drew me a valuable path of self expression the best way possible, surrounded by wonderful music & people from the knit & lovable community. Thanks to all the b2b comrades, to all the residents who took their stints seriously. And of course to all the strangers on the dancefloor, I met along the way. Hard to tell apart one vivid memory as it’s been a memorable journey through emotions for all, I believe. Opium Of The People, it’s time to celebrate.

Šešiolika metų, trys aukštai ir 1500+ naktų muzikos, kuri formavo, gelbėjo, augino, o kartais tiesiog laikė ant kojų. Nesuskaičiuojamas kiekis žmonių, kuriuos vadinom draugais, šeima, saviškiais ir namiškiais. Už pulto, prie durų, šokių aikštelėje ir už jos ribų. Norisi tikėti, kad O P I U M nebuvo tik klubas. Čia susitikdavo idėjos, skoniai ir kartos. Čia išmokome klausytis – muzikos, savęs ir vieni kitų. Čia naktis tapdavo ryškesnė už dieną, o draugystės muzikai nutilus nesibaigdavo. Dėkojame visiems, kurie buvo šios istorijos dalimi. Namiškiams, kurie kūrė garsą ir atmosferą. Artistams tiek iš gretimo namo, tiek iš viso pasaulio. Komandai, kuri nemiegojo, kad mes galėtume miegoti ramiai. Ir jums, šokusiems iki ryto ar sėdėjusiems kampe, įsimylėjusiems, išėjusiems ir vėl sugrįžusiems. Atsisveikinam be liūdesio, nes viskas, kas įvyko čia, niekur nedingsta. Viskas lieka mūsų širdyse, mintyse, kalbose ir sapnuose.  Užverčiam paskutinį puslapį taip, kaip mokam – kartu, be planų rytojui ir su muzika, dėl kurios visa tai ir sukūrėme. Ačiū, kad buvote. Thousands of encounters, first dances, unexpected friendships, and nights that will stay with us for a long time. More than once, night has turned into morning here. More than one generation of dancers grew up in these rooms — alongside us, alongside evolving taste. We thank everyone who helped shape the sound and spirit of Vilnius nightlife: dancers, friends, artists, and all who were part of Opium, in ways seen and unseen.
