Here is Hannibal, the hard-boiled detective not only fighting the darkness of his past but also literally fighting the darkness and the eldritch horrors contained. @alec_azzam and I made him on Curious Creations based out of his Occult TTRPG Spliced in the works. This was also a good opportunity for us to draw from another one of our characters from old projects that never fully manifested, as you can see from the last image from 10 years ago, it’s nice to have a back catalogue to pull from.

Finally got around to doing a portrait of my Oath of the Ancients Paladin Frogfolk Abso Lootli after wrapping up our nearly 2 year long campaign. Abso Lootli spent many years as the Gaurdian of his swamp home and the Fae Realm gateway held within. However, he was unable to protect himself and his family from capture by the hands of the Sahuagin menace from the sea, but they were eventually rescued by his younger Druid brother Oaki Doki and his adventuring friends. After this, Abso Lootli took up the ancient Druid armor and Hero’s blade encased in stone within a magical crystal cave and vowed to go out into the world and be a beacon of light to stop further darkness from spreading. However, it wasn’t until he learned to rely more on the strength of his friends and family rather than his physical strength alone, that he unlocked his true power and that of the ancient relics he carried. #dndcharacter #dndcharacterart #paladin #oathoftheancients #frog #frogwarrior #swordinthestone #naturewarrior #magiccrystals
I recently attempted to draw some Pokémanz from memory. I gotta say, missing Charizard’s blue green wings was a reasonable oversight, then giving Venusaur Ivysaur and forgetting he had ears is on me, but what kind of nonsense is Squirtle going from a pretty simple no-ear turtle guy, to having crazy angle wing ears for some reason, then Blastoise devolving to somewhere in between with some regular mammal ears? Otherwise I thought I got pretty close.

I was so glad I made it to @oscuralive last night to see some old friends and meet some new ones, while listening to great music. Here are some of my digital phone doodles from the evening. My apologies to those I didn’t get to.

I was honored to work on this portrait for @srqmag of @rangsook (Rangsook Yoon-Shaw) the newly appointed senior curator at @sarasotaartmuseum .
It was an especially fun opportunity to play with colors and patterns to depict someone so passionate about showcasing the power and limitless possibilities of art in Sarasota.
It was also special to include the historic building the museum is in, which was the original location of Sarasota High School, as my grandmother went to school there and I grew up admiring it. I also paid homage to my alma mater @ringlingcollege , as it is a parent of the museum, by reflecting it’s logo in the layout.
