À Comunidade de Capoeira em Berlim, No dia 21 de junho, dois palestinos residentes na Alemanha convocaram uma mobilização em massa para exigir o fim do genocídio em Gaza, o fim da limpeza étnica e da ocupação da Palestina e o fim do apoio militar alemão e da cumplicidade com Israel. O apelo já alcançou milhares de pessoas. Nesta ocasião, queremos nos unir como comunidade de capoeira e levar o poder da roda de capoeira às ruas em solidariedade à Palestina. A capoeira foi criada por africanos escravizados como forma de resistência contra a escravidão e o colonialismo no Brasil. Sua história de resiliência e luta pela emancipação contra os opressores europeus ressoa até hoje. A capoeira sempre esteve profundamente enraizada na luta contra a opressão, a ocupação e o colonialismo — as forças malignas às quais o povo palestino vem resistindo há décadas. Para nós, jogar capoeira é alinhar-se ativamente às lutas pela libertação dos povos oprimidos e colonizados. É responsabilidade de todo capoeirista honrar e defender esses valores. A capoeira não é uma simples arte. É um ato político. Vamos mostrar o que a capoeira significa.
