What I find extraordinary about music is that even with different life experiences, we can feel the same emotions when listening to a song.
In each of us, it tells a part of our story that the person standing next to us might not have access to. And yet, we still get to feel those emotions together.
I think that’s what I love most about what we do.
So thank you for sharing and for leaving a part of yourselves when you come to our shows. Thank you so much.
Today marks one year since my dog, Hestia, passed away in an accident that should never have happened. She was the most precious thing I had.
I think about her every day, and I know my life will never be the same.
And yet, beautiful things are still happening. I’m surrounded by the best group of friends I could ever ask for, I have an incredible girlfriend, and I get to do what I love. But I can see how much of a battle it is not to sink.
There’s a force inside me that pulls me toward sadness, toward an endless nostalgia, as if nothing could ever be better than what I once had. I think I’ve found an enemy to defeat there.
So I made myself a promise to remember one thing:
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
I love you, my girl. And as your mom would say:
“Thank you for everything you gave me, for every moment, every look, every wag of your tail. You will stay in my heart forever.” ♥️

Hestia, mon amour de fi, s’en est allée.
Écrire ces mots m’est insupportable. Et pourtant, mon Hestia est partie le 27 avril dernier. Il m’était impossible jusqu’ici d’en parler tant mon cœur saigne au moindre souvenir.
Hestia était une chienne merveilleuse. D’une douceur sans pareil. Tous les humains qui l’ont croisée ont pu le voir… tant elle aimait les gens.
Quelle chance ça a été de t’avoir, ma fi… je regrette chaque seconde sans toi. Tu m’as tellement apporté, c’est incommensurable.
Je ne te remercierai jamais assez de m’avoir fait tant grandir. D’avoir été si permissive avec mes erreurs. De m’avoir donné cette passion de bien faire avec le vivant. Car oui, on t’aimait tellement qu’on a tout fait pour que tu sois la plus heureuse… toutes nos vacances étaient pour toi 🥹
Hestia a vécu 9 années entourée d’humains qui l’ont aimée et chérie comme j’ai rarement vu des humains chérir un chien. Tu as eu deux mamans merveilleuses. Tu as eu un papa qui t’aime plus qu’il ne lui a jamais été donné d’aimer.
Tu es avec moi partout où je vais. Je t’aime et je t’aimerai toute ma vie avec cette même force.
And I swear that someday I’ll be fine.
