Married the love of my life ✅
What a perfect weekend. It’s amazing - you plan and sweat and stress over something for over a year and not only does it go by in the blink of an eye, but it all goes off without a hitch. Can’t begin to thank our families, friends, everyone who attended and everyone who helped us out in any way enough for contributing to a day that my WIFE @michellesason and I will never forget.
Here’s to you, Michelle, the greatest woman in the world, and here’s to all the people that make our lives so incredible. To quote It’s a Wonderful Life: No man is a failure who has friends. And to quote Ralph Wiggum’s valentines card to Lisa Simpson: I Choo Choo Choose You!

@kallaxshelvingunit Vol 3: FLOOR - S/T (1st pressing, No Idea Records)
A truly singular album from an oft-imitated/never replicated band. Steve Brooks and co. would go on to take their signature brand of pop-sludge insanity to its logical endgame with Torche following Floor’s breakup, but this is the band (and the album) I find myself revisiting the most. They really tapped into some alchemy on this one. Best way I can describe it is Sabbath filtered through the lens of Hum and Moreno and polished to an otherworldly sheen. One of my all-time favorites, hands down.
I drove to Buffalo to see them on their reunion tour but the bouncer turned me away at the door because it was 21+ (my birthday was in a week and I promised I wouldn’t drink - no dice).
Face for the algo this time. Give my new record collecting page @kallaxshelvingunit a follow - gonna be posting on there whenever I pull out something dope to listen to. Maybe you’ll discover something new!
Today’s edition: PROFANATICA - DISGUSTING BLASPHEMIES AGAINST GOD (Second pressing on HHR)
Among the best second wave black metal bands and certainly one of my favorite black metal bands to come out of the USA (and maybe the only one from New Paltz?). This is their second album and it’s just great, filthy, primitive black metal played in the style of Von, Demoncy and Sacrofago. I’ve always been drawn to this record in particular because the bass is mixed hilariously loud, which is especially unique for a black metal record considering the bass is essentially nonexistent on so many of them. Also, yes, Paul recently sold vials of his own cum at their merch table. If you bought one, you should have just given me the $50 instead if you wanted to waste it so bad.
Jotted down as many records I liked this year as I could fit. My handwriting is terrible but hopefully you can make most of this out.
I’d highly recommend any and all of these, and if you like any of them I’d suggest buying a physical copy because who knows how much longer you’ll be able to do that for.
See you in 2026!
Three-week Hawaiian honeymoon with my freakin WIFE ✅
Spent most of the flight back to the frigid tundra of New York thinking about how lucky we are. Already can’t wait to go back, and once I make my death metal millions (lol) we’ll retire there! Until then…mahalo.
Huge thank you to my bro @andrewgroans for taking me to see the Yanks for my bachelor party. I’m currently watching them eat shit against the Sox so reminiscing on a no-sweat win against the Orioles feels nice.
Getting married on Saturday! 🤯
Wassup players - I recently started making electronic music under the name @mutikapa.exe . It’s something I’ve wanted to take a crack at for a while and it’s been fun to figure out!
I’ve got a track up rn called “I Guess” and you can listen to it wherever you listen to music. Working on a bunch of other ones too so keep an eye out for those down the road.
Huge thanks to @gbmystical for the mix/master tune up on this one too!
