I have been asked to be a part of a wine & art paired event where I will provide artworks made out of the wines that will be featured.
Here is a little practise I did to test out some techniques. This Great Blue Heron was made with a Merlot. If you are interested in a wine painting while I'm doing this series, let me know

I painted a set of portraits on the knives of a chef who recently passed away. Rest in Peace Tyler Cruce, it was an honor to memorialize you.
I used a bonding primer to get the acrylic paint to stick to metal and sealed them with clear enamel. Instead of sketching out the designs, I freehanded these direct on with paint!

I handcut this stencil with an Xacto knife. I used flat spray paint for his skin and gloss for the eyes and lips so they reflect light and look wet!
I'm doing a limited run of 50 of this design. They are 16x20" on high quality paper.

Last year I started a new job that I really like, started a new band that played some very cool shows, and had my artwork displayed at the Philbrook Museum. Best of all: I ADDED A WONDERFUL DAUGHTER TO MY FAMILY!
