Ready to get your items repaired? Today is the day! Come to the Claverack Library today to see someone for the following repairs: Furniture, Jewelry, Lamps, Sharpening, and Sewing. Have a more general repair that doesn't fit in any of those categories? Bring it anyway! We have many volunteer fixers today with a diverse set of skills that would love to try.

Reminder: You can enter to win a gift certificate to a Claverack or Philmont business of your choice when you vote. Results will be announced on June 6th.

Talbott & Arding is delighted to announce that we are partnering with the Friends of @claverack_library for a COOKBOOK FESTIVAL next month. We are accepting your used cookbook donations at Talbott & Arding on Tuesdays - Sundays from 10am -4pm until June 22. The Claverack Library is accepting cookbooks on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10-12 and Wednesdays from 4-6. We will be announcing cookbook authors and food vendors very soon.

Robert is an American science fiction writer, filmmaker, world adventurer, and amateur astronomer. He was born in NYC, grew up between New York and Connecticut and studied at Sarah Lawrence College. While writing, he worked behind the scenes on documentaries, commercials and television productions.

Do you have something that's broken that you don't know how to fix but can't bring yourself to throw away? Something like a toaster, kettle, lamp, bag, pair of pants? Bring it along to the Claverack Library's Repair Cafe! Get your item seen by an experienced volunteer repairer for free. They will pinpoint the problem and try to fix it there and then for you. If they can't fix it then, they will let you know what spare parts to get for when you come back next time.
