DYC put on an amazing event last Friday! I enjoyed being around the energy of NYC and hearing all of the amazing artists & friends that performed. I wrote a spoken word piece specifically for the event that tested my pen & forced me to commit to memorizing for 3 weeks. The piece is 3 mins long and it took a lot of energy & sacrifice to make sure it stuck. I choked a few times (⏸️) but it was still worth it. I got the itch to perform and even lean more into my spoken word bag.
