28 years ago California’s The Dingees released “Armageddon Massive” on CD, and the world took note.
They say it takes over 10,000 hours to truly become an expert at something.. evidently, in this case, it took over 10,000 days (and multiple prior, bizarre, failed attempts) to finally put this album out on vinyl.
@EthanLuck & I met up in the beginning of 2024 in the back of a BBQ place in #Denver, during
@MaxMcNown ’s second or third show ever. Almost instantly, we started scheming a way to pull off a first-time-on-vinyl pressing of his first studio-recorded band, #TheDingees.
It wasn’t long after that guitarist Jeff Holmes (
@The_New_Future ) offered to contribute to the layout (eventually grabbing the reins entirely, with brilliant results). We got Bean & Pegleg all aboard to contribute essays & tons of archival, never-before-seen content, then added the bands’ former tour mates #TheePirates who now run
@ClampdownPressing , getting them to press it in Canada.
Just like the scene used to operate back in the day, this was a real ramshackle community effort to pull this one together. We hope you LOVE the remaster, it literally sounds like a brand new, awesome, modern record.
