This is my last day for now on the PCT ! đ„șđ„șđ„ș I donât want to say it out loud, it breaks my heart a little bit. I am very sad that this is the end. But Iâm thinking about Winnie the Pooh who says âDonât be sad because itâs over, be happy because it happened.â đ§ž
To conclude my PCT, this day was really representative of my whole journey. I went through an amazing waterfall which reminded me of the crazy views Iâve seen from the desert to the mountain and the many forests Iâve crossed.
Just like the rest of the PCT it was sometimes a little bit too long and too hard. It wanted it to be over and also to keep on going forever. PCT is as much going through storms than going through deep feelings. When Iâm thinking about my ankle a few months ago and even my whole shape by that time, finishing at the Bridge of Gods is really something.
I ran into a few hikers, because without all the people I met in a few months and that Iâll remember for the rest of my life, it wouldnât have been the same. I enjoyed my âCheryl Strayed momentâ. And this time I wonât tell you âsee you tomorrowâ but âsee you next yearâ !

After a few days of partying it feels good to be alone in the peaceful nature. But at the same time I am a little bit sad because it is my very last stretch, my last moments for now on the PCT.
A short stretch to go back to Cascade Locks and the Bridge of the Gods ! And for this last stretch, the trail convinced me to come back. Views are awesome and I saw so sweet cascades. So I made a lot of breaks : lunch with a view, nap with a view, and a lot of miles with views.
Iâm enjoying every step and still feel very lucky to be here. âŁïž

I remember when I began the PCT, I told myself Iâm here to do my miles, to be quiet, I donât want to meet anyone, Iâm not here to make friends. And then : very first day, after 7.5 miles, I met three amazing guys. And then more and more people.
And now after 136 days, I can definitely say that the hardest part of the PCT is not the snow nor the heat, nor carrying a huge backpack, not even not showering or the big climbs and downhills. The hardest on the PCT is f*cking saying goodbye to those friends for life.
After a new Tetris in the car, they brought me back on trail, and saying goodbye broke my heart. But thereâs nothing better than the PCT to heal a broken heart. And to feel a bit better, I made a detour by this place. The outside is quite famous : itâs the hotel of the great âShiningâ ! đ

Iâm spending this zero day in Bend, a little town in the center of Oregon, probably my favorite one since the beginning ! Itâs a little bit bigger than usually but so so cute.
Iâm still sleeping at this adorable trail angelâs place, and I spent the day walking around. With my city shoes of course, because Iâm a little bit fancy when in town. Bend is full of beautiful houses by a nice river where people swim of lay on floating tubes.
Then I laid in a park because the idea during zero days is to stop walking actually. And I took time to tell my journal that the bad weather in Oregon is just lies : it is sunny and it feels good being here ! âïž

Short day today, a few miles to reach a road and then go to Bend. Iâm quite shiny because Iâm covered with spray against mosquitoes. Finally Oregon is what Iâve been told ! So I quite need a shower also, I canât wait !
But after a few miles, terrible meeting : four hikers were already waiting for a car ! I finally also got a ride and got to Bend where there was more little cute coffee shops than you could imagine.
A trail Angel came to pick me up to spend the night at her place. I became friend with her cat and her 5 years old daughter. We played a lot, all afternoon long !

I have two side quests today. First one is breakfast, but I have to climb for that. And the second one is swim in Crater Lake. Itâs the last year we can dive in the lake, but I have to get a little bit out of trail for that !
I was so shocked when I saw Crater Lake, that was so so beautiful ! Even the French toasts with blueberries that I ate were not as shocker. The trail went along the rim so I was stopping and admiring every 15 meters or so. And I finally went down to swim, but there was so much people though !
At the end of the season the lake will be closed to swimming for a few years for restauration. So I just had to go âš
