Today’s discussions focused on Ukraine’s EU accession process, with the aim of opening new clusters in June, as well as the issue of Ukrainian children forcibly removed during the war. We also stressed the need for an EU-level assessment of the impact of developments in the Middle East, particularly on energy supplies, inflation and food security.
At the same time, we reaffirmed our support for Lebanon at this critical stage and look forward to this evening’s High-Level Dialogue with Syria, an important step in strengthening EU engagement in the region.

The security and stability of the Gulf region is interlinked to the security and stability of the European Union.

🇨🇾🇦🇪 Η Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία, με την επίσκεψη του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας κ. Νίκου Χριστοδουλίδη στα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα και τη συνάντησή του με τον Πρόεδρο των ΗΑΕ, Σεϊχη Μοχάμεντ μπιν Ζαγιέντ Αλ Ναχίαν, επαναβεβαίωσε το εξαιρετικό επίπεδο των στρατηγικών σχέσεων μεταξύ των δύο χωρών και τη σταθερή της προσήλωση στην ενίσχυση της ασφάλειας, της σταθερότητας και της περιφερειακής συνεργασίας.
