“Gratitude reshapes your brain, it enhances brain regions linked to self control and emotional regulation helping you bounce back from stress and adversity. Feeling grateful literally changes how your brain responds to life.”
Last night we attended @outdoorexperience4all 2026 Gala Event and this is exactly why, gratitude.
The last 3 years of my life have been undoubtedly shaped by this organization and the support of @ckbrewer
Hunting public lands and big game reconnected me to the wild. Gave me control over what I eat. It was a confidence boost and it also allowed me to help others succeed in their own hunts.
Arizona became more than just a pit stop in my journey. I will forever be grateful for the time I spent here, how much I grew and most of all… for the time I got to spend with this guy, working out, hunting, building an archery community at @sticksniperarchery .

Always movin, hustlin....setting up for the next adventure.
Days of scouting, countless hours prepping gear and shooting arrows. Tons of training sessions in the gym.
All bets are in. It's almost go time. The goal is one perfect arrow in a giant old bear.
My favorite time of year is about to start.
It was a good morning.
It's easy to see all the highlight reels and the high points of someone's day. What you don't see is the mountain of work that goes in between each moment, the never ending struggle to be better than yesterday.
This was one of those moments. It wasn't sexy, just gritty hard work. It was tough and I sure as shit didn't want to do it. But the hard work always pays off.
245# sled work.
July 2018, a little over 2 years after stepping on that IED in Afghanistan...
Check out the landing at the end.
I was on a quest to all the things that I wasn't supposed to be able to do. I was on a quest to thrive. Since my injury I had spent every possible moment in the gym getting stronger. Strength, agility, stability and coordination were things I needed to get back. Countless hours and discipline in the gym led this point. I failed over and over and over trying to box jump until I finally made it happen. It was an amazing accomplishment for me.
I cannot overstate how much work it took to get to that point and how much work it's taken to get to where I am now. The work never ends but the payoff is 100% worth it.
How much work are you willing to put in to achieve your goals?
It's an honor to share bear camp with Bowhunting legend @cameronrhanes up here in Alberta with @johnnyrivet and @jennrivet_ !
I know so many people like myself have really looked up to Cam as the epitome of what you can accomplish if you keep grinding. He's the reason I became a bowhunter and never looked back. Years ago I remember him talking to Joe Rogan and saying he'd "rather fail as a bowhunter than succeed as a rifle hunter". That stuck with me and Bowhunting has been my addiction ever since. It's been a wild ride so far and I wouldn't change a thing.

We need to live a life worthy of their sacrifice.
I've heard TAPS played too many times in my life. It's a stark reminder of the sacrifice that so many have made to ensure we have the freedom to live our life the way we want.
Today is a day of remembrance and a day of gratitude. Let's make sure we are worth it.
What happens if you intentionally rewire the emotional pathways in your brain?
Negativity is everywhere. Bad day, bills, arguments, pain, stress. Did you ever try to be intentional about what you're thinking when these things happen? What are your thoughts? Do you front your teeth, fletch your fists or tighten your mouth? Can you even recognize that it's happening?
What if you could train your brain to default to gratitude for something in your life every time something bad pops up in your mind? What if your brain automatically puts a positive thought into the pipeline instead of dwelling on the negativity?
I can tell you from a personal perspective that the results can make powerful change in your life. The more you intentionally inject positivity into your thought stream the better your life becomes. Positivity, just like negativity, can multiply. It's pretty amazing. And the more you train yourself to think this way, the better your life becomes.
Anybody have thoughts on this or any personal experiences with this?
