highlights from a recent shoot with @alc_ltd focusing on color, texture, layering, and transparencies.

These are the details that separate a towel from an object worth adding to a carefully curated collection. For this project, I suggested we look at everything through the lens of a textile archivist/conservator, bringing the viewer to their conservation workstation while the towel is being inspected. Featuring the three colorways, each anchored by the name of a woman artist whose world would perfectly collide with Crown Affair’s — like Sofia Coppola’s.

i recently worked with A.L.C. on their pre-spring knitwear color ways. i love blue and i’d go as far as to say blue is my favorite color even though about a decade ago i avoided it at all costs. these were beautiful pieces to work with and they’re the softest and warmest sweaters i’ve worn. more from this series is featured on my latest substack post :)

autumn bag spill 🍁 my most noteworthy in rotation: - @sachiskin future veil moisturizer: i’ve been wearing this since i received a lab sample from @beamwonder back in spring. the formula and texture sets a new standard for barrier strengthening moisturizers. and the peptide complex is just the cherry on top. i have loved every drop of this and so glad it’s a staple in my routines now. - @loreworld fragrances: warm and spicy, perfect for inviting autumnal weather and overall mood. i’m wearing ‘somewhere but nowhere’ & ‘lovely and a little twisted’ the most. the longevity and silage are both excellent. amazing packaging. would love to see the brand explore even more complex approaches. - @rhode lip liner: contour before color has become something that gets me excited to do my makeup every morning. shades stretch and spin are interchangeable to create a blurred outline which gives me much needed contrast to set-up the rest of my lip color which is usually in a berry/plum/dark rose hue. - @hudabeauty lip stain markers: these also contribute to a very natural, but perfect looking pout. using rich brown for contouring and rosewood or baby pink to fill in. excellent longevity and user-friendly! between shoots, edits, and the ever-growing client list, i’ve neglected this space more than i’d like. i keep telling myself i’ll “get back into posting,” but creative momentum feels different when your work is creating. how do you keep a rhythm with sharing when you’re buried in the work itself? sometimes i feel like i need a different platform for all my beauty related thoughts, but adding something new to the to-do list feels impossible right now. but sometimes our needs and wants cycle and shift and i think i’m in the middle of that right now!
