This is not easy, said the Amazon Prime Member, who loves Target, Best Buy…and no credit cards!!?! But there are folks who didn’t ride buses for over a year so I can have the privilege to say that a day off from spending is “not easy”. And the fight for civil rights was and continues to be multi racial and generational, so thanks in advance for those who choose to stand with us. While for most it will be one day, for those who can keep going until these companies know that being bullied is not ok, surrendering on what is right and profitable is not okay and that we won’t finance your choice to be unAmerican, because diversity, equity and inclusion is PLURALISM and that’s what the Founders SAID they were about. We’re just holding them to it. And diversity, equity and inclusion is not just about race and gender, it includes and is not limited to: age/seniors, veterans, people with different abilities, perspectives, capacities, it’s about mixing it up so we can have brilliant outcomes, different outcomes, new outcomes….and not just one outcome. It’s not a zero sum game unless people choose to play it that way and those who are….are not the ones who are even close to needing it that way.
Just got off a @winwithblackwomen call. @joyannreid a premier journalist on @msnbc and thoughtful truth teller will have her last show tomorrow night. Friends this is NOT OKAY. This is not about ratings, or profit otherwise others should’ve been chopped. It’s about her capacity to speak truth factually to power. It’s also about a free press that is choosing to eat its own. After Halloween it’s basically Christmas! So grateful for Jada’s Friendsgiving game night last week and tonight’s amazing holiday party! It was the needed end to a LONG day! This @bozzuto team is truly wonderful! I made some new friends tonight and not all of them are pictured! That Photo Booth, the DJ food and vibe was really wonderful!! Kk now I’m back to work sigh.
Congratulations to Senators Angela Alsobrooks & Lisa Blunt Rochester and Win With Black Women on their victories! In this election cycle Black women doubled their presence in Senate in the chamber’s 200-year history! In the Senate’s 200 year history there’s only been 3 Black women and tonight on the Win the With Black Women call we witnessed this historic photo of 3 Black women with the title Senator!
