For some of you last year that remember I was making a beatbreaker comic around beats and beat battles. I’ve upgraded it to a mini anime show. A glimpse of what I’ve been working on. Also repurposed this beat I made from like 2012 and updated for the intro.
Another show down! Putting in work this year. Treating myself like an artist than producer shift has been cool. Showing up to play sounds. Should really start traveling to other cities too. Also peep the new beats. Played some other unreleased gems I may release soon.
Man I love the beat community…. Catch me at another event soon! Treating myself more like an artist now! I might start touring cities… 🌆 shout outs to @royalcitylif and @styles_nemh
Always good to see CJ Chat touch the stage at BeatFreaQ. I always tell him he’s the third tallest beatmaker I know, but his talent stands even taller.
Straight out of Sumter, South Carolina, CJ has traveled far and wide with his music, moving through both indie and industry circles while always bringing an incredible spirit and positive energy wherever he goes. He’s been a little off the grid lately because he got married—so first off, congratulations!—but he came back through and did what he always does: tore the stage down for the BeatFreaQ crowd.
Rappers, if you’re looking for beats that go beyond the same old formula and want something truly fresh, you definitely need to tap in with CJ Chat.
Make sure you support his art—follow him on Instagram and his social media pages and keep up with all his projects.
For those who love hip-hop: Donuts & Daisies is going down Saturday, March 22 at Starlight. Tickets are $10 on Eventbrite, available in advance or at the door.
The next BeatFreaQ will be April 4 with another stellar lineup of MCs. If you want to test new songs, hear your beats on a loud sound system, or just connect with the community, pull up. It’s a free event.
